The team
Jane Harrison

Archaeologist Jane has lived in St Clement’s for 15 years and has a husband Chris, three children - Laura, Ewan and Alfie - and two guinea pigs. She is very keen to pass on her love of archaeology and history and is delighted to have the opportunity to do so in her home area.
The whole family relishes the variety, vibrancy and richness of the east and south-east of the City; Jane is looking forward to finding out more about its past, with the help of local people. Jane excavates in the Orkneys as well as in Oxfordshire and teaches fieldwork.
David Griffiths

David also lives in St Clement’s near the Cowley Road and has been in Oxford for 15 years. He works in the Department for Continuing Education and is a specialist in the Saxons and Vikings.
He has wide archaeological experience in the UK, Norway and Europe. David thinks East Oxford is a fascinating corner of the world and looks forward to finding out more by working together with neighbours and other members of the community.
